Issued by Krepling Inc.
Effective Date: 20th June 2025
This API Agreement (“Agreement”) sets the terms under which Krepling Inc. (“Krepling”) grants access to its application programming interfaces (“APIs”) for use with Krepling Pay. This Agreement governs all API usage, including access, integration, and data handling.
What This Means:
This document explains the rules and responsibilities when you use Krepling Pay’s APIs.
Krepling grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the APIs solely to develop and integrate with Krepling Pay.
What This Means:
You are allowed to use our APIs, but only for your business, and only in the way we approve.
To access the APIs, you must:
Maintain an active Krepling Pay merchant account.
Keep your API keys confidential and secure.
Use the APIs only in accordance with this Agreement and Krepling documentation.
What This Means:
You must have an active account, protect your credentials, and follow our guidelines.
You may not:
Share your API credentials with third parties.
Use the APIs to process payments for others (no aggregation).
Reverse engineer, decompile, or replicate Krepling Pay.
Interfere with or harm the API infrastructure.
What This Means:
Don’t misuse the APIs, share access, or try to copy Krepling’s technology.
You may only access or use data as authorized by the API and this Agreement.
Personal data must be handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
You must not store or transmit cardholder data unless encrypted and approved.
What This Means:
Use only the data you’re allowed to, and make sure it’s protected and legal to use.
Krepling may set rate limits and monitor API usage.
Abuse or overuse may result in throttling or suspension.
You agree not to attempt to bypass usage limits.
What This Means:
You must stay within allowed usage levels. Trying to exceed limits can get your access blocked.
You may not use Krepling’s name, logo, or marks without written permission.
Any permitted use must follow Krepling’s brand guidelines.
What This Means:
You can’t use Krepling’s logo or name in your app or marketing unless we say you can.
This Agreement continues until terminated by either party.
Krepling may terminate your API access at any time for violations or security concerns.
Upon termination, you must delete all API-related data and integrations.
What This Means:
We can end your API access at any time. If that happens, you must stop using our systems.
Krepling may change, deprecate, or discontinue the API at any time with notice.
You are responsible for maintaining compatibility with the current version.
What This Means:
Our APIs may change. You must keep your systems up to date.
You must implement strong security practices, including access controls, encryption, and secure storage.
You must notify Krepling of any security breaches within 24 hours.
What This Means:
You must protect user data and tell us quickly if there is a security issue.
Krepling retains all rights to its APIs, data structures, and documentation.
Your use of the APIs does not give you ownership of any Krepling IP.
What This Means:
You don’t own the API or its content—just the right to use it as described here.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Krepling from any third-party claims arising from your API use, including violations of this Agreement, misuse of data, or non-compliance with laws.
What This Means:
If someone takes legal action against us because of how you used the API, you’re responsible for covering the costs.
The APIs are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Krepling does not guarantee that the APIs will always be available, error-free, or compatible with your systems.
What This Means:
We don’t promise the APIs will always work perfectly. Use them at your own risk.
Krepling is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Krepling’s liability is limited to the amount you paid for API access in the past 3 months (if any).
What This Means:
If something goes wrong, our financial responsibility is limited.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes must be resolved in Delaware state or federal courts.
What This Means:
Legal matters related to this Agreement will be handled in Delaware.
This Agreement, along with Krepling’s Platform Agreement and Privacy Policy, forms the complete understanding between the parties regarding API use.
What This Means:
This is the full agreement for API use. Nothing else applies unless we write it down and agree to it.
